Organic in Irvine

More and more people are starting to turn to local organic eating for various reasons.  Whether you do it out of worries over chemicals in processed foods, or simply a move to try to get closer to nature, the move to organic eating is one to consider.
Once you have decided that the organic lifestyle is one you would like pursue, you have to be able to find the best local sources for you to purchase your provisions.  This post is to help you with your search, and make eating organically, a simple and fun transition.
Deciding which is for you, Farmer’s Market, or Organic Grocery
With a farmers market, you are going to be able to find produce straight off of the farm, to the market, to your table.  This is the freshest you will ever find produce, with most of the proceeds going straight back to the farmer who raised it, if not all.  The one drawback is you will only be able to purchase produce which is in season in your area.
An Organic Grocery will carry a more diverse stock.  Not only organic produce, but organic box goods and other staples as well.  While not so much of the profit goes to the farmer, they do usually still see some, and many Organic Groceries offer free trade options, or even your own chance to buy in to a Co-op.
